Two state championship showdowns. Three volleyball coaches in one studio. The Peninsula has plenty to talk about!

Nick and Sarge get you ready for Soldotna–Lathrop and Kenai–Homer, breaking down the matchups that could decide both football titles. Can a healthy Stars squad flip the script against Lathrop? How do the Kardinals crack Homer’s defense and stop a three-peat? Then, the volleyball coaches from Kenai Central, Soldotna, and Nikiski join us to explain what keeps Peninsula volleyball so competitive. From offseason commitment and youth development to fierce rivalries and mutual respect, this conversation goes well beyond the scoreboard. In “What the Numbers Don’t Say,” they spotlight the selfless players, trust, and leadership that turn talented athletes into successful teams.

We also celebrate another Kenai swimming sweep, catch up with Peninsula athletes making their mark beyond high school, and work through some NFL clock-management chaos and fantasy-football frustration.
