Another Peninsula graduate has reached the top of a national sports mountain! Soldotna graduate Seth Chavka, crew chief for Joe Gibbs Racing Car #19, just led his team to a NASCAR Xfinity Series Championship! The guys chat with Seth about his journey from Soldotna to NASCAR.
 
So many Peninsula volleyball teams headed to state!! We talk about the upcoming tournaments, and catch up with the SOHI Stars to celebrate their first NLC Conference championship in 13 years.

What a jam-packed show! State swimming is this weekend, and the Kardinals are sending a whole flock of swimmers to Bartlett! We catch up with Kenai's team captains to talk swimming and state expectations. 
 
Conference volleyball tournaments are here, and the peninsula is busting at the seams with top seeds! Nick and Nolan preview the 3A Southcentral tournament in Houston and the 4A Northern Lights tournament right here in Soldotna.
 
Also, high school hockey returned to the peninsula over the weekend. The guys recap the Peninsula Ice Challenge and preview the Stars and Stripes Tournament in Palmer.

Champions, champions, champions, both old and new! Nick, Nolan, and Sarge break down the Stars and Mariners DII & DIII State Football Championships.
 
Reigning 3A State Volleyball champs, Nikiski Bulldogs, join the show once again! Coach Stacey Segura brings a couple of her team leaders in to talk about retooling the squad this season and making another run at the 3A title.
 
And as always, Three Big Things that happened in sports this week!

Nick, holding down the fort this week, joined in the studio by his best bro and right-hand man, his son, Grady. The pair talk about the Soldotna Saints youth football team bringing home the first Pop Warner title in over a decade.
 
Also, conference volleyball races are knotted up tighter than an amateur's fishing line. Which teams have big matchups this week as the conference tournaments near?
 
And surprise, surprise, the Soldotna Stars are headed back to the D2 State Championship, where they will face *checks notes* the Lathrop Malamutes!

A special show this week; Jeff Helminiak joins Nick and Nolan to talk sports on the Peninsula over the last 30 years. 
 
Jeff, a long-time sports reporter for the Peninsula Clarion, left the paper recently. He covered Peninsula teams and athletes for over 28 years, and the guys were thrilled to have all that knowledge join them in studio.
